Ayrton Senna (McLaren)

Because he did unbelievable things, like:

- Get a 2 nd place with a Toleman in 1984, when he was only a rookie;

- Won races and got poles with a minor car

- Won the Brazilian GP of 1991, with the gear bloacked in "6 th" and when was 20 laps to the end

- when the car is less important, he could make the difference, as win in wet conditions

- he was the Best competting with others great drivers (Nikki Lauda, Nelson Piquet, Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, René Arnoux, Keke Rosberg, etc., all champions of F1)

All-time best F1 driver, Fangio. The records that MS holds now are irrelevant, because the heritage he leaves to the sport is insignificant and is made up of nothing more than his cheating acts.

All-time favorite team... it's a hard choice, but I think my personal favorite must be a certain team which gave the paddock a huge laugh in the boring 1992 season, a team going from disaster to catastrophe at one end of the pitlane while Williams ruled the pack from the other end of it.

Jeez, this question has been asked so many times, but I will give you my standard answer. Juan Manuel Fangio has to be ranked as the greatest ever Formula One driver.

He raced in an era when the cars were difficult to drive and circuit safety was an afterthought. His record speaks loudly for a very talented and humble man; I'm glad I saw him in a racecar, albeit only doing demonstration laps at the 1987 Brazilian Grand Prix at Jacarapagus.

Oh, and my favourite (or if you insist, favorite) team is a tie between Lotus and Tyrrell.

All-time best F1 driver, Fangio. Without a doubt. Fangio was respected by both fans and drivers who raced against him. I can't say the same thing with Michael. Michael might have broken the records but he's a proven cheat. The greatest cheat in F1.

must be Senna. He set the files should you observed. He had a pastime for racing that too few drivers will ever journey. He replaced right into a real racer not only a driving force. large question.

Unfortunately, it has to be Shoemaker. He has all the records. Most of which will never be broken. I feel he cheated, but he won a lot as well. My favorite was Jim Clark/Lotus. Watch Alonso@ McLaren next season.

Oh, you have all forgotten about Alain Prost! Amazing car control. And lets not forget, the cars he was driving were beasts, not rev limited V8's. Just my opinion.

I would agree with the folks who have Fangio - five world championships, more impressive by the fact that

it was with five different manufacturers.
